In Spain, their money is called "euro". ($1.00 of American money is equal to $1.1932 euro).

Major exports - automobiles, chemicals, footwear, fruits and vegatables, fuel and refined oil products,
Major imports - industrial machinary, iron and steel products and plastic products.

Spain's economy is mostly agricultural.

Spain's economy became diverse and strong in manufacturing. From the 1960 to 1970 their economy grew. By 1973 they slowed down due to the oil crisis. Unemployment was high and so was the cost of living. The 1980s to 90s they were in a recession. Today 30% of Spain's industry is foreigned owned.

The people of Spain are free to work toward a large degree of regional self government.

Spain followed a strict and dictative policy. Through time, it began to follow a more liberal, democratic policy. These changes took place in the twentieth century.

Spain valued many things. They valued great artist which came from royal spanish families. People in Barcelona danced every sunday, they called this dance the sarclana. In Spain, there werent that many religions. At first, most people in Spain were Visigothic, then changed to Roman Cathlics. In the 1978 Constitution, the Roman Cathlics changed to a
different religion. At one time in Spain, the Roman Cathlics were ther majority religion. There was about 98% Roman Cathlics.

There is alot about Spain's history. Spain has many old paintings and statues that they love. The paintings and statues look really cool. Also, in the 16th century, Spain was one of the most powerful empires in the world. Another thing Spain liked to do was bullfight. Infact, bullfighting came from Spain. Bullfighting isn't the only thing they liked. In Spain, the most popular sport is futbol, or as we like to call it, soccer.

Accomplishments:

Pablo Picasso (a very famous artist in Spain) sent a painting to the USA and became famous here as well. Here is a painting of his work above.

Don Quixote wrote, arguably, the world's greatest book in Spain.

The language, spanish, was first spoken in Europe and Spain and is now all over the world.

An economic event that was in Spain is the Visigoths ruled Spain from 415 to 711.

Spain is our country. The cordinates to spain are 40* N latitude and 5* W longitude. Spain is apart of Europe. Spain is a pretty large country. It has lots of differnt plants and vegeitation. Temperatures can be extreme but then it can get very cold at times. That is how some of the vegeitation grows, but when it gets cold, the plants dont do so well. Spains large area covers 5/6 of the Iberian Peninsula. That is all about spain's geography.
